1. Who We Are
Gurt Builds is a sole trader business operating in the United Kingdom, providing the Gurt Builds Quoting Tool. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Gurt Builds is the data controller. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Registration No. ZC123490. 2. What Data We Collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and company name. We use Stripe to process payments — we never store your card details, only your subscription status. Any client details or quote data you enter is stored securely and is only accessible by you.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and manage your account, process subscription payments, store your saved quotes, and send important service notifications (such as when a client accepts or declines a quote). We do not use your data for advertising and do not share it with third parties beyond our listed service providers.
4. Third Party Services
We use Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (transactional email). Each provider is GDPR compliant. We do not sell your data to any third party.
5. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@gurtbuilds.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for HMRC compliance purposes.
7. Cookies
We use essential session cookies only — these are required to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS). Payment processing is PCI-DSS compliant via Stripe.
